Greenkeeper Update

  • Posted on: 26 Oct 2023

We have now treated the greens with potash and iron.

Potash fulfils a number of roles in the well-being of grass. It is required to develop and maintain the strength and structure of the foliage. Potassium also plays a role in sugar formulation, assists root development and is involved in the transport of metabolites and nutrients within the plant.

Iron – This helps the grass build thicker cell walls and withstand various stresses such as drought, cold & disease. It also reduces moss and enhances the colour of the grass.
